Welcome to your Bathroom! As stated elsewhere, grief creates emotional strain in our lives that can be preoccupying and make it difficult to care for ourselves in ways that support our health and wellbeing, whether that be by maintaining our personal hygiene, ensuring adequate sleep, monitoring our health status (e.g., checking our weight and our blood pressure), taking our prescribed medications, or keeping up medical or dental appointments. We need to remember to inform our healthcare team if we are bereaved as grief can affect our overall health and possibly worsen pre-existing health conditions. Taking care of ourselves by addressing these important parts of our lives is critical to our health and wellbeing as we manage with grief.
