Aaron is Assistant to the Director and Scientific Program Coordinator at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS). He graduated from the University of Maryland in May 2021 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Cell Biology and Genetics and completed a minor in Geochemistry. As an undergraduate student, Aaron had the opportunity to work in clinical research at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. At this facility, he worked in the Adult Emergency Department (ED) and assisted in conducting research focused on the improvement of care of Sickle Cell Disease patients when they present to the ED with painful vaso-occlusive crises. Aaron is heavily involved in Emergency Medical Services. He has been a fire department Emergency Medical Technician for six years and is currently in paramedic school. This aligns with Aaron's research interests in traumatic events and disaster response. During his time at CSTS, Aaron hopes to enhance his research skills and contribute to the fields of traumatic stress and military medicine.
